The 2025 edition of Scotland’s EIA Conference was held in Edinburgh on Thursday the 2nd October and saw 130 environmental assessment professionals come together. The day focused on effective EIA practice and outcomes with presentations and discussions including learning from offshore practice, a Reporter’s view of EIA’s role in Appeals, workshops on caselaw, streamlining onshore wind EIA and proportionate heritage assessment, plus a review of innovations enhancing EIA from RSK, the Improvement Service and ISEP.
Presentations from the day are available via this link, or you can follow the link at the bottom of the page, where you will also find links to the content from previous year's conferences .
The conference is run by FothergillTC working in partnership with the Scottish Government and EIA's core statutory consultees - HES, NatureScot and SEPA. We are very proud that the conference remains free to attend due to the kind support of our 2025 sponsors:
Brodies, ISEP (formerly IEMA), Ramboll, RSK, Turley and WSP.
